Cars in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Authorities reported they were alerted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Officers then located multiple other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests indicate the substance was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not aware of any injuries in association with the event," they commented.

City officials announced they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the public for tips.

A high-ranking representative commented the incident rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a shooter targeting residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
